To configure your Mac device for extended mode:
"Settings" → "Display" → check the "Mirror Displays" box to change to extended mode → you can then drag a window with a website or movie to the right edge of your screen until it goes off your desktop and appears on the external monitor.
To set up in extended mode for Windows:
Right-click on the desktop → choose display settings → a popup settings window will appear showing display options → select multiple display settings → extend the desktop (If Display 3 isn’t visible, please manually select the display → click Apply to confirm the settings).
If the screen does not show;
Right-click on the desktop > Graphics settings > Choose one or more active displays.
