To access Free-to-Air Freeview channels, an existing rooftop or portable aerial is necessary. Simply connect your aerial to the V7 S5X, and it will promptly search for channels available in your area. To record shows, just plug in a USB 2.0 memory stick to the front USB port, and you are all set to capture your favorites.

The V7 S5X Freeview Box Recorder offers a wide array of Freeview channels, including HD options, without relying on subscription services such as Sky or Virgin Media. Its HDMI output makes viewing standard and HD Freeview simple, featuring popular stations like BBC1, ITV, Channel 4, and BBC News.
This Freeview Receiver and Recorder is designed for easy installation and comes with an HDMI cable for direct connection to contemporary TVs. For older television models, a SCART cable can be used, ensuring compatibility with various types.
7-Day EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)
The V7 S5X 7-Day EPG allows you to easily explore the upcoming TV schedule for the following week and schedule recordings with ease. This feature enables you to record or switch to your favorite shows in just a few clicks. Customize your channel list for a personalized viewing experience and improved channel navigation.
Record TV Shows to USB Stick
The V7 S5X Set-Top Box includes a Time shift functionality that lets you pause and rewind live television. To use this feature and record programs, a USB memory stick is required—32GB memory stick included. This allows for immediate recording and creating a collection of your favorite shows. With USB storage, there’s no worry about running out of space—just swap the USB stick as needed.
When a USB drive is connected, you can pause and rewind live television, or use the PVR system to record live or scheduled shows. The included 32GB USB stick is pre-formatted to NTFS, ensuring seamless and continuous recording. Additional USB drives can be used as long as they are formatted to NTFS.
Multimedia Player Freeview Box
The V7 S5X Freeview Box features a built-in multimedia player, allowing you to watch movies, view photos, or listen to music from a USB memory stick. Whether reliving your favorite moments or creating a customized media experience for kids, this capability guarantees that you always have something enjoyable to watch, even without a TV signal.
Settings and Video Outputs
The V7 S5X Set-Top Box offers adjustable display settings, featuring aspect ratios of 16:9, 4:3 Full, 4:3 Letterbox, or 4:3 Pan & Scan. You can set the resolution to either 1080P, 1080i, 720p, or 576p, which will automatically fit your TV’s setup. The unit comes with an HDMI cable for HD Freeview viewing, plus a SCART option for older TV models, meaning compatibility with virtually every device is assured.
The DVB415 also includes a parental control feature, which has pin-protected channels to help restrict certain content for better family management.
