Electric Paint Sprayer - Premier Electric Paint Spray Gun
The Electric Paint Sprayer - Premier Electric Paint Spray Gun is ideal for applying thin substances such as stains and sealants for projects including re-staining decks, restoring outdoor furniture, sealing timber decorations, and much more. With customizable patterns and material flow, the Control Spray is designed for ease of use, enabling you to achieve the desired finish.
Quick Setup Guide:
Step 1: Preparation.
Ensure to cover or remove any items and areas that shouldn't get painted.
Step 2: Assess paint viscosity.
- Initially, mix the paint thoroughly. Use a viscosity cup to measure how quickly the paint flows out. - This will yield a D.I.N. The maximum viscosity for this sprayer is 50 seconds (for a 2.5mm nozzle). - Below, you will find the recommended viscosity D.I.N.
Step 3: Thin the paint.
- To make sure your paint reaches the right viscosity, you may need to thin it with an appropriate solvent, depending on whether the paint is water-based or solvent-based. - Adhere to the manufacturer's guidelines for combining paint and solvent. - A clean bucket and mixing stick can assist in this procedure.
Step 4: Fill the container.
- Strain the paint using a fine filter funnel to remove any particles that may block the spray gun.
Step 5: Adjust the spray pattern and flow rate.
Step 6: Connect the sprayer and start painting.
- Hold the Spray Gun about 250mm to 300mm away from the surface.
- Keep a consistent motion with the spray gun; try not to dwell on one spot for an extended period.
- If a thicker layer is needed, apply 2 to 3 coats with thinner layers in between, allowing full drying time for each coat. Avoid applying a heavy layer all at once, as this can lead to sagging.
- A cross-hatching technique is recommended: start with horizontal sweeps followed by light vertical strokes.
Step 7: Clean-Up.
When your painting work is complete, it is ESSENTIAL to clean the spray container and hose. - Dispose of the contents of the cup. - Utilize a cloth soaked in solvent to wipe away any residue from the cup. - Remove the filter at the bottom of the feeding tube. - Fill the cup halfway with either water or solvent. - Spray until the fluid runs clear.
