1. XS - Kitten: (up to 6 months old, around 5 pounds / 2.5 kg)
Soft cat nail caps typically fit most kittens when they reach about 16 weeks (4 months) of age. In some cases, kittens can start using them as early as 12 weeks (3 months). To evaluate the fit, initially place a nail cap without using the adhesive. If it seems too large, do not affix it. The nail cap should fit securely, similar to a glove. For younger kittens, you can trim the base of the nail cap to reduce its size, ensuring it suits your kitten's nails properly. Kittens weighing up to around 5 pounds / 2.5 kg and/or 5 months generally fit the kitten size.
2. S - Small: (approximately 6 months old - around 6-8 pounds, 2.5-4 kg)
Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size, particularly if they are growing fast or belong to larger breeds. Small-sized adult cats typically use the small size. If your cat appears to be smaller than a typical adult cat, consider the small size.
3. M - Medium: (approximately 9-13 pounds, 4-6 kg)
The medium size is commonly worn by most adult cats of standard size.
4. L - Large: (approximately 14 pounds, 6 kg and above)
Very large and robust cats typically require the large size. An example is the Maine Coons, known for being among the largest breeds and generally needing the large size.
