1. XS - Kittens: (under 6 months old, around 5 pounds / 2.5 kg)
Soft cat nail caps are generally suitable for most kittens once they hit 16 weeks (4 months) of age. Some kittens might be able to use them as soon as 12 weeks (3 months). To check the fit, first try a nail cap without any adhesive. If it seems too large, don’t apply it. The cap should fit securely, similar to a glove. For younger kittens, you can trim the bottom section of the nail cap to make it smaller and a better fit for your kitten's nail. Kittens weighing up to about 5 pounds / 2.5 kg and/or around 5 months usually fit into the kitten size.
2. S - Small: (approximately 6 months old - approximately 6-8 pounds, 2.5-4 kg)
Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size if they are experiencing rapid growth or belong to larger breeds. Smaller adult cats often wear the small size. If your cat seems smaller than the typical adult cat, choose the small size.
3. M - Medium: (approximately 9-13 pounds, 4-6 kg)
The majority of average-sized adult cats typically wear the medium size.
4. L - Large: (approximately 14 pounds, 6 kg and above)
Very large breeds usually require the large size. For instance, Maine Coons are notably large cats and generally need the large size.
