1. XS - Kittens: (under 6 months, roughly 5 pounds / 2.5 kg)
The soft claw caps designed for felines typically suit most kittens once they hit around 16 weeks (4 months) of age. Some may be able to use them as early as 12 weeks (3 months). To achieve an appropriate fit, first test placing a cap on without any adhesive. If it seems too large, do not use it. The cap should fit snugly, similar to how a glove fits. For younger kittens, you can trim the base of the cap for a better fit on your kitten’s claw. Kittens that weigh up to about 5 pounds / 2.5 kg and/or are around 5 months generally fit in the kitten size.
2. S - Small: (approximately 6 months - roughly 6-8 pounds / 2.5-4 kg)
Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size, particularly if they are experiencing rapid growth or are from larger breeds. Small adult cats typically use the small size. If your cat seems smaller than a standard adult cat, you should select the small size.
3. M - Medium: (approximately 9-13 pounds / 4-6 kg)
The majority of average-sized adult cats wear the medium size.
4. L - Large: (approximately 14 pounds / 6 kg and above)
Very large and robust breeds use the large size. For example, Maine Coons are particularly large cats and typically require the large size.
